Where to Stay in Bangkok – Cheap Accommodations

Getting a Thailand hotel is super easy these days. Do a search at google, and you will have some pretty good idea of in which you want to stay. Plus, you can just go on and book for any Bangkok Thailand hotel online.

If you are planning to locate a Bangkok hotel, youve tons of choices. Stay at Kaosan road if youre a backpacker. If youre not one, then stay close to the skytrain if you love shopping. If you are into good atmosphere and do not care much about making your way around the town, then stay close to the Chao Phraya river, which is the main river of Bangkok.

If you want to remain at Kaosan road, you do not even have to book ahead of time. You can easily walk around to determine the guesthouse you want, and then just walk in. They always have a vacancy.

Should you would rather stay in the town center in order to get around easily for shopping, (and let me tell you, Bangkok is shoppers paradise — Hong Kong isnt cheap… but Bangkok is) i quickly suggest you check out Patumwan Princess hotel Bangkok. Its in the actual MBK shopping center (fake jeans, watches and bags) as well as right at the Siam Square skytrain station. Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel Bangkok, Le Meridien and also the Four Seasons hotel Bangkok tend to be more luxurious. Theyre right in the intersection where one can see Zen and Isetan departmental stores right across the street. The Siam Square (where they offer funky clothing) and the Chidlom (Central shopping mall) skytrain stations are within minutes away.

A lot of tourists prefer to remain at the Asia hotel Bangkok, which is right at a Rajdevi skytrain station (one station away from MBK shopping mall). It might be cheap, but its kind of old. Well, early actually. I dont recommend it. But its totally up to you.

If you dont care much about shopping in Bangkok, then Id really suggest you remain at the Sukothai hotel Bangkok. Its a classy and splendid Thai-styled hotel –but youll have to have a taxi if you wish to go anywhere. As well as, stay by the Chao Phraya river if youre able to. Youll have another feel of Bangkok, especially during the night. Its rather expensive though, especially if you wish to stay at the world-renowned Oriental hotel Bangkok or even the Peninsula hotel Bangkok. If both of these are too expensive to you, try Shangri-la hotel Bangkok. It might be a little bit cheaper. You should also book a Bangkok river cruise dinner at the hotel. The Chao Praya river is glamorous at night — with a look at well-lit Wat Arun.

To get out and about out of your Bangkok hotel, you can ask the hotels doorman to help you get a taxi. Its not expensive at all
